Question 1

How is my financial data protected?

Accepted Answer

Your data lives in a managed Postgres database with row-level security, so every query is scoped to your account at the database layer. Traffic is encrypted in transit, and sessions are handled by a dedicated authentication service rather than custom code.

Question 2

Do you connect to my bank?

Accepted Answer

No. Weltog does not link to your bank accounts and never asks for banking credentials. You enter values yourself or import a statement file from your broker, which keeps the blast radius of any incident very small.

Question 3

Who inside Weltog can see my numbers?

Accepted Answer

Access is restricted to what is needed to operate the service. We do not browse individual accounts, and support requests are handled with information you share with us.

Question 4

What is Wel?

Accepted Answer

Wel is the built-in assistant. It reads a structured snapshot of your own accounts before answering, so questions like 'can I afford this?' are answered with your numbers rather than generic internet advice.

Question 5

Is my data used to train AI models?

Accepted Answer

No. Your data is sent to the model provider only to answer your request in the moment, and is not used to train models.

Question 6

Can Wel change my data?

Accepted Answer

Wel can prepare an entry or update for you, but it always shows a confirmation card first. Nothing is written until you approve it.

Question 7

Which brokers are supported?

Accepted Answer

Holdings exports from Groww, Zerodha, Upstox and Angel One are supported today, in CSV and Excel formats.

Question 8

What happens to my existing holdings?

Accepted Answer

Imports show a preview of every add, update and unchanged row before anything is saved, so you always see the change set first.

Question 9

What can I export?

Accepted Answer

A formatted PDF with charts for sharing or filing, and CSV files for your own analysis.

Question 10

What is an AI summary?

Accepted Answer

A short written narrative of your month or week, generated from your own figures, covering what moved and what to watch.

Question 11

Is the free plan really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The free plan covers net worth, cash flow, budget, goals, financial independence, holdings and basic reports, with a monthly allowance of AI messages.

Question 12

Accepted Answer

Unlimited use of Wel, advanced analytics and exports, unlimited imports, advanced FIRE planning, priority support and early access to new features, for ₹299 per month or ₹2,999 per year.

Question 13

When does billing start?

Accepted Answer

Billing is not live yet. Pricing is published so early users know what to expect, and founding members may keep discounted pricing when it launches.

Question 14

Do you sell my data?

Accepted Answer

No. Weltog does not sell or rent personal or financial data, and there is no advertising business behind the product.

Question 15

Can I export or delete everything?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can export reports and CSVs at any time, and permanently delete your account and all associated records from the delete account page.

Question 16

Is there an Android or iOS app?

Accepted Answer

Native apps are on the roadmap. Weltog is fully responsive today, so it works well from a phone browser and can be added to your home screen.
